Sports Update For Wednesday, March 27th, 2019; Seneca And Walhalla Pick Up Wins In Baseball

(Seneca, SC)———————–Seneca defeated Powdersville in extra innings by a score of 2-1 in baseball action. Walker Lathrop, Matthew Burgess and Ryan Moore had two hits each for Seneca. 

The Walhalla baseball team picked up a 12-3 conference win last night over Daniel. Bubbie Bonadies had three hits and three RBI’s for Walhalla.  James Hanvey and Cody Barnes had three hits for the Razorbacks. Patrick Campbell had three RBI’s for Walhalla as well. 

The Walhalla softball team lost to Wren by a score of 9-6. Lauryn Howard went 3 for 4 last night with an RBI and Lydia Phillips went 2 for 4 with a home run and a RBI for Walhalla in the loss. 

Seneca picked up a win in softball action last night on the road against Pendleton by a score of 9-1. 

Crescent defeated Seneca and West-Oak in a golf match yesterday. Crescent’s team score of 196 was one stroke better than Seneca’s, who finished with a team score of 197. West-Oak’s team score was 213. The medalist for Crescent was Cody Robinson with an individual score of 41. Tyson Gentry shot a 42 for Seneca while Carson Williams had the low team score for West-Oak with a 45.

Clemson defeated Charlotte last night in baseball action on the road by a score of 8-5 while South Carolina lost to North Carolina A & T at home at Founders Park by a score of 2-0.
