Still Time to get Passport to Arts, Treasures, and History

This summer the Oconee County Arts and Historical Commission launched the Passport to Arts, Treasures and History and there is still time to participate in the fun educational program, says Oconee Heritage Center Director Leslie White. “This is designed to engage our local citizens and re-introduce them to the amazing treasures Oconee County has to offer, the Passport showcases 21 sites for family fun. Participants who visit all 21 sites and show their completed passports by the end of the year will receive a special gem and be entered for the grand prize treasure. Our county’s history is rich, and we are hopeful that many will use this program to uncover our cultural diversity and artistic talents as we kick off our county’s upcoming sesquicentennial celebration in 2018.” Passports are available at the Oconee Heritage Center and at South Cove County Park.
