STOLEN GREENVILLE DEPUTY’S CAR WRECKED NEAR EASLEY

An arraignment is planned today for an Easley man who was arrested after a stolen Greenville sheriff’s car was found overturned yesterday on the Farrs Bridge Road. According to the Pickens Sheriff’s Office the man arrested, Roy Wood McDonald, was not an employee of the Greenville County Sheriff’s Office. It was determined that the patrol car was stolen from the home of a Greenville deputy who lives near Easley. McDonald was charged by the highway patrol with driving under the influence and by the Pickens Sheriff’s Office with larceny. After finding the patrol car overturned, Pickens sheriff’s office determined that 32-year old McDonald was not hurt.
