Survey on Best Job Perks

What are the best job perks? Senior Career Advisor for Careerbuilder.com Mike Erwin says the website did a survey, asking workers what perks would keep them at their current jobs. “The vast majority, 88%, said that salary is most important.” Quit working at lunchtime on Friday is the favorite perk according to the survey, explains Erwin. “Those half day Fridays are really the one perk that they want to see and that will keep them in the position they are in today.” If bosses want to keep good workers, they might offer massages and facilitate napping, adds Erwin.  “Massages and nap rooms came in pretty high on survey and that is probably on a wish list, most companies aren’t going to offer those but it is okay to dream.” Erwin concludes that if bosses want to keep good workers, they should offer pay-raises, fitness-centers, and the right to go casual. “Many said on site fitness centers, followed by the ability to wear jeans and cattered lunches are some of the perks that keep people working for the job they’re in today.” To read the complete survey on the best job perks visit www.Careerbuilder.com.
