Suspect Shot by Police In Easley

A suspect was shot and killed by law enforcement after threatening to harm the manager of a Tractor Supply Company store, according to the Easley Police Department and the Pickens County Coroner’s Office.

Easley Police responded around 10:50 a.m. Monday to a report of a person threatening the manager after being confronted for attempting to steal merchandise. The suspect later threatened to pour gasoline on a vehicle at another location on Rolling Hills Circle, police said. The Pickens County Coroner confirmed a death investigation, only identifying the deceased as a male in his 20s. The South Carolina Law Enforcement Division is leading the investigation.
