TCTC offering assistance with Financial Aid

Would you like to go to college but worried about paying for it?  Well you are not alone and help is available.  This month, Tri-County Technical College is hosting an event to help students get the best financial aid package available to them for the fall college semester. Tri-County Technical College financial aid counselor Kevin Woods gives details. “The Free Application for Federal Student Aid, or FAFSA, is the first step to receiving federal aid and it is a requirement for most college students who plan to pay for college. College GoalSC is set for February 23 from 10am to 1pm in Pickens Hall Room 140 on the Pendleton campus. Both students and parents should bring identity and tax documents to help them qualify.” Financial aid professionals and representatives from Tri-County Technical College, Clemson University, Anderson University and Southern Wesleyan University will be on hand to help college-bound students and their families with the financial aid application process and admissions-related questions.  Participants will have a chance to enter a drawing for a special prize, adds Woods.  “We will be giving away an iPad mini.  So come to the event, talk with college representatives, get help with the FAFSA form and register for a chance to win an iPad mini.” College GoalSC is set for Saturday, February 23, from 10am -1pm in Pickens Hall, Room 140, on the Pendleton Campus.  This free event is open to anyone who has questions or wants help in completing the FAFSA.  If you would like to attend this event, please visit www.collegegoalsc.org for more information.
