TCTC offering help with the FAFSA

Financial forms can be difficult to fill out, that is why Tri-County Technical College (TCTC) offers help with the FAFSA or the Free Application for Federal Student Aid, explains Amy Jared, Senior Financial Aid Adviser at TCTC. “The FAFSA, you complete it once a year, it is good for one school year. It actually opens in October for the following school year, so you can go ahead and do your FAFSA for the 2018-19 school year, which starts in the fall. You will use your 2016 tax information to complete and we offer help here at TCTC for students who need help completing their FAFSAs. So, we welcome anyone from the community to come and receive help if they need it.” TCTC offers help with the FAFSA every Friday on the Pendleton Campus, continues Jared. “On Fridays, from 10am to 1pm, in Career Services, which is located in Miller Hall, we have a number of representatives who will gladly help you complete your FAFSA. If Fridays from 10am to 1pm just isn’t a good time for you, you can always come into TC Central and schedule an appointment and we’ll help you at a time that is better for you.” It is always free to complete the FAFSA and everyone who is getting ready to go to college should fill out the FAFSA.
