TCTC’s 4th Annual 5K Race is Saturday

Tri-County Technical College is holding its fourth annual 5K Road Race and One Mile Fun Run this Saturday at its Anderson Campus. The race is part of the S.C. Palmetto Grand Prix and the course is certified by the U.S. Track and Field Association. All proceeds will benefit the programs and services of the Anderson Campus of Tri-County Technical College.  Tim Bowen, director of the College’s Anderson Campus gives details. “This is our fourth year, and we are expecting another great event. New this year is the One Mile Fun Run that we expect will appeal to a whole new group of people who simply want to take a healthy, brisk walk, make new friends and enjoy the excitement of a race-day environment.  We also have great door prizes, tech t-shirts and race-packs for the runners and walkers. We are fortunate to have community sponsors who help make this event possible, like Michelin North America, Duke Energy and the Tri-County Technical College Alumni Association.” Interested persons can get additional information and register online at www.tctc.edu/race. Online registration ends at noon on Friday and walk-up registrations end at 7:30am on Saturday.
