Tenth Circuit Solicitor’s Office Announces Sentencing Of Man And Woman On Narcotics Charges

(Seneca, SC)————-The Tenth Circuit Solicitor’s Office announced the sentencing yesterday of Nancy Elaine Carswell on charges of Possession with Intent to Distribute Methamphetamine. 

Carswell was sentenced to 12 years in prison by Judge Cordell Maddox as the result of a search warrant that was executed in March of 2018 which led to charges of Trafficking in Methamphetamine against Carswell and her co-defendant, Roy Cecil Walters. 

Carswell was tried and convicted in her absence back in October of this year. A bench warrant was issued for her arrest. Carswell was picked up on the bench warrant back on November 20th. 

Walters entered a guilty plea to the charge of Trafficking in Methamphetamine back in August of this year and was sentenced to 10 years in prison. 

The execution of the search warrant in March of 2018 took place at an address on Fairlane Drive in Anderson.
