The U.S. Army Corps Of Engineers Announces Campgrounds and Day Use Areas Open For The Season April 1st

(Seneca, SC)——————The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Hartwell Project Office, has announced the opening of six campground and day-use areas for the 2019 season. The campgrounds and day-use areas will open up for the season on Monday, April 1st. 

The six campgrounds and day-use areas are Crescent Group Campground, Springfield Campground and Singing Pines Day Use Area, which are all located in Anderson County, the Twin Lake Campground and the Twelve Mile Day Use Area in Pickens County and the Watsadler Campground in Hart County, Georgia. 

Campers who will going to the Springfield Campground will notice the results of a major tree cutting operation during this winter to remove some trees from the park that are more susceptible to disease and breakage during storms, according to a release from the Corps of Engineers. 

Reservations for campsites and picnic shelters located within day-use areas can be made by calling the Recreation One Stop number toll-free at 877-444-6777 or online at www.recreation.gov.
