Thousands line Streets for Seneca Parade

Thousands of people lined the downtown streets of Seneca on Monday night for the annual Christmas Parade through downtown. The Oconee County Chamber of Commerce organizes the parade and executive director Sandra Jones was pleased with the large turnout, the weather, and the fun that was enjoyed by all in attendance. “The Chamber of Commerce was so excited with the turnout for the Christmas Parade Monday night. Turnout both in participants and crowd. Both seemed to be records. Of course it was nice that the weather blessed us so much. We were so proud to be able to honor the heroes of Oconee County, the veterans, our firefighters, police and all those that do so much to protect our country and keep us all safe and ensure that we have the freedoms that we enjoy everyday.” To see pictures of the 2012 Seneca Christmas Parade visit the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce’s website at www.oconeechambersc.com.
