Three Seneca Men charged in Clemson Break-ins

Three Seneca men were arrested on Thursday by police officers with the City of Clemson on 48 charges of theft.  Police reports list 20-year-old Dylan Patrick Smith, 20-year-old Leroy Dalton Crooks and 21-year-old Michael Delvin McClure.  They were booked at the Clemson City Jail with bond set for all three men at $20,000. Clemson Police Chief Jimmy Dixon said in a statement that city funding of security cameras for downtown was responsible, along with determined officers, for the arrests. The men are charged with break-ins of cars at the city’s parking deck, apartments on Sloan Street and in a downtown neighborhood near Riggs Drive and Strode Circle. The break-ins were first reported in March and continued through last weekend.  Each man is charged with six counts of malicious injury to real property, three counts of malicious injury to personal property, three counts of auto break-ins, three counts of petit larceny and a single count of grand larceny.
