Throwback Thursdays at OHC

Thursdays throughout the summer, bring your child for a fun, hands-on look at life in Oconee County from the past to the present at the Oconee Heritage Center (OHC). On July 12, the OHC host a Throwback Thursday entitled In The Kitchen. Ever wonder how people got food to their table before we had modern grocery stores? Learn how people of the past acquired and prepared their foods. On July 19, the program focuses On the Farm. Old McDonald had a farm; we all know the song, but do you know what Old McDonald actually did? Meet some farmers, some animals, and learn how life on the farm is today. On July 26, its In the Home. Life in the past was very different from what it is today. Experience what people of the past had to do on a daily basis to keep their homes in tip top shape. Each program runs from 3-5pm. The cost is $10 for OHC members and $15 for non-members. Registration is a must, so contact Jennifer Moss at 864-638-2224 or [email protected] to reserve your child’s spot. The OHC is located at 123 Brown’s Square Drive in downtown Walhalla.
