Tigers take two from Paladins

Despite being previously rained out twice, the Clemson Tigers and Furman Paladins were finally able to square off on the diamond on Wednesday.  The Tigers took both games of a doubleheader at Fluor Field in Greenville.  Clemson scored a season-high 14 runs in their 14-2 victory over Furman in the first game Wednesday afternoon.  The Tigers’ bats stayed hot in the second game, leading Clemson to 12-2 win Wednesday night.  The Tigers, who swept the doubleheader by a combined score of 26-4, improved to 34-15 overall.  It was Clemson’s ninth win in a row in the series between the two schools. Clemson will host Georgia Southern in a three-game series at Doug Kingsmore Stadium this weekend starting Friday at 7pm.
