Time Is Running Out To Get Property Taxes Paid for 2021

The next couple of weeks are all that’s left for Oconee property owners who’ve procrastinated paying their 2021 Oconee County property taxes. January 18 is the deadline to pay without penalty. The bills have been payable since they went out in the mail a few weeks ago.

Many taxpayers, including the county’s largest, Duke Energy, wait until January to pay. There are a variety of ways to satisfy the bills. You can pay in person at the treasurer’s counter or thru the drive-thru, located at 415 S. Pine St. Walhalla, SC 29691.

To avoid waiting in line, you can also pay by phone 864-638-4162 and online.
