Tri-County Technical College Announces Scholarship Endowment For Late Early Care And Education Instructor

(Seneca, SC)———————–Tri-County Technical College announced recently that an endowment of a scholarship has been established in honor of the late Jackye Murphy, who was an Early Care and Education instructor at the College. 

Murphy, who was a resident of Hartwell, GA, lost her battle with cancer in September of 2018. 

So far, the scholarship endowment has passed the $20,000 mark, according to a press release from the school. 

Murphy was a former elementary education teacher in Anderson County School District Four and served as an adjunct instructor at Tri-County Tech for two years and received the College’s 2015 Adjunct Faculty Presidential Award. She joined the college as a full-time Early Care and Education instructor later that year. 

Murphy earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia and a master’s degree from Southern Wesleyan University.
