Tri-County Technical College Offers First Ever Power Line Worker and Heavy Equipment Operator Training Classes

(Seneca, SC)—–Tri-County Technical College has announced that the school will offer its first Power Line Worker and Heavy Equipment Operator training class beginning Monday, June 17th.

The seven-week class will be held weekdays from 8am until 5pm through Friday, August 9th.

Amy Littleton, Operations Manager with the college’s Corporate and Community Education Division, says the Power Line Worker certification will provide training in several aspects, such as preparing those who come through the program to be able to gain employment as well as leading to those possible employment opportunities with companies such as Duke Energy and Blue Ridge Electric Cooperative.

In regards to the Heavy Equipment Operator training, Littleton says that there seems to be a huge demand in the workforce for those with this type of training.

Tri-County says that scholarships are available and individuals are urged to apply and to attend an Open House at the College to learn more. The next open house is scheduled for next Tuesday, June 18th. For more information, contact Julia Lee, training coordinator for the Corporate and Community Education Division at 864-646-1707.
