Truck hits Power Pole on Bypass 123

Traffic was backed up this morning after a city sanitation truck hit a power pole on Bypass 123 in Seneca. The accident knocked out power in the area as electric lines fell along the westbound lanes in front of Golden Corner Plaza, across from Wendy’s and BB&T. Fortunately, no one was injured; however, police and fire responded to the scene anyway to assist with traffic as crews repaired the power pole and electric lines.
