Two Domestic Violence Incidents Land Man in Jail

An investigation into two separate domestic violence incidents that occurred last week has led the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office to file multiple charges against a West Union man. 32 year old Phillip James Manley II was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center around 6:45pm Thursday.

The first incident, according to the victim, occurred on Monday, June 7th while the second incident occurred on Wednesday, June 9th . Manley II with one count each of Domestic Violence – 1st Degree, Pointing and Presenting a Firearm at a Person, Possession of a Weapon during Commission of a Violent Crime and Kidnapping, as well as one count of Domestic Violence – High and Aggravated, Possession of a Weapon by a Convicted Felon and Possession with Intent to Distribute Cocaine.

At this time, Manley II remains in custody at the Oconee County Detention Center pending a bond hearing.
