Two New Graduates from SC Criminal Justice Academy
The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office announces two new graduates of the South Carolina Criminal Justice Academy. Deputies Judson Minyard and Daniel McGowan are the fourth and fifth graduates of the Academy since Mike Crenshaw became Oconee County Sheriff on January 1st, 2013. Both deputies graduated during commencement ceremonies on December 20th. Minyard was hired by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office in May 2013. He has been assigned as a road patrol officer. McGowan served for over 8 years in the Marine Corps, being deployed twice into combat zones and twice with the 31st Marine Expeditionary Unit aboard naval vessels. McGowan was hired by the Sheriff’s Office in May of 2013 and has been assigned to work as a road patrol officer.
