Two People shot in Utica

An investigation is underway after two people were found shot this morning in the Utica Community near Seneca, tells Oconee County Sheriff’s Office Public Information Officer Jimmy Watt. “Deputies from our Uniform Patrol Division, investigators and also our Special Operations Division responded this morning to reports of a shooting at 14 Padgett Street on the Utica Mill Hill. We received a call about 9:10am into our Dispatch Center. The caller was not physically at the address where the shooting occurred, apparently, the caller was inside of a residence close by and heard some gunshots and then came outside and discovered two victims lying in the yard at 14 Padgett Street. Deputies responded to the scene and the investigation is currently ongoing. We are trying to get some information on the whereabouts of a gold Dodge vehicle with a body style of a Charger or Avenger. So, if anybody has any information on this investigation, call 864-638-4111.” Watt said, at this time, there appears to be no danger to the community.
