United Way accepting Applications

If the United Way of Oconee County does not currently fund your human service agency and you wish to do so for the 2013-14 fiscal year, there will be an important training meeting on Thursday, March 14.  The meeting is set for 10am at the United Way Center in downtown Seneca.  No other training will be held after this date nor will applications be given out after March 14.  Only agencies meeting the United Way criteria will be eligible to apply.  Each agency must be approved by the IRS as tax-exempt, be registered with the S.C. Secretary of State, have been in existence for no less than three years, be fully governed by an active rotating board of directors, have a year-end financial report for 2012 and an audit from the previous year, and does not perform a duplicated service in the Oconee County area.
