Update given on Seneca Recreation Master Plan

Improvements are coming to the recreation department in the City of Seneca. Tuesday night, Seneca Recreation Director Rick Lacey gave an update to the city council on the Recreation Master Plan. “We took six architectural firms and we interviewed them and we’ve come up with one. They’ve come back with a price around $40,000 to do it. It doesn’t qualify for Hospitality and Accommodations Tax (HAT) money, so that is where we stand right now.” Seneca Mayor Dan Alexander asked the Finance Committee to look at the funding to be able to do the proposal and make a recommendation to council at their next meeting.
