Update – Minor Winter Storm in the Upstate Today

Rain is moving across the Upstate today, with snow falling along and north of I-85, including Oconee, Pickens, and Anderson counties. While temperatures remain above freezing, minor accumulations—mainly on grassy and elevated surfaces—are possible, with up to an inch in some areas. As temperatures drop below freezing tonight, lingering moisture could create icy patches on roads, particularly bridges and overpasses. A cold front Thursday morning may bring light flurries, but little to no accumulation is expected. Friday will be frigid, with lows in the teens and 20s and highs struggling to reach the 40s. Drivers should remain cautious of icy conditions tonight and early Thursday.
