Updated report on the levels of COVID-19 found in Clemson’s wastewater

Clemson University’s and the City of Clemson’s wastewater treatment facilities at the University Plant, Clemson Cochran Road and Pendleton Plants have released an updated report on the levels of COVID-19 found in wastewater, and said the latest findings included a drop at the Cochran Road facility to the Level Two range. While that range is till a matter of concern, it is an improvement, officials said, that they believe in in direct relation to compliance with the city’s law requiring face coverings. The hope is that the trend will continue downward, however officials concede that the next batch of samples could show a spike. Levels in the campus wastewater popped back up, which led officials to conclude that infected people are still working on campus.
