Shop and Support the OHC this Weekend

Skip the crowds, shop local, and support the Oconee Heritage Center (OHC) by visiting their gift shop, explains assistant curator and education specialist Jennifer Moss. “The OHC gift shop is your stop for hard-to-find local history books, children’s books, cookbooks, CDs by local musicians, hand-made Christmas ornaments and jewelry, old-timey toys and more. Some of the new and popular titles are Looking Back (Keowee Courier) Volumes 1,2,3 by Ashton Hester, Carolina Bluegrass: A High Lonesome History, Tales from the South Carolina Upstate, Images of America: Lake Jocassee, Following the Barn Quilt Trail, I See the Moon (book & CD), and The Waterfalls of South Carolina. Give the gift of music with gift certificates for OHC music lessons; $60 provides six weekly group lessons for the guitar, banjo, fiddle, mandolin or dulcimer. Ages 8 and up. Instrument rental fee can be included in the gift certificate. We also offer gift certificates for OHC membership and engraved bricks for our garden walkway.” The OHC is open today and Saturday from 11am until 5pm. The OHC accepts cash, check, and credit/debit cards. The OHC is located at 123 Brown’s Square Drive in Walhalla. It is a 501c3 non-profit museum preserving and promoting the history and heritage of Oconee County. You can also shop online at www.oconeeheritagecenter.org.
