Vote for OC Chamber Board Members

It is time to elect six new board members to serve on the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, explains executive director Jillian Lusk.  “We are currently in the process of doing board elections.  So, anybody who is a chamber member, if you have not done it yet, we have a link on our website, on our newsletter, or you can just contact the office, we have voting going on right now.  We have eight people on a ballot to fill six seats.” One vote per chamber membership.  Lusk adds that the chamber conducts board elections every three years. “Every three years we have new leaders step up because they all serve three-year terms to make sure we are keeping some fresh perspective, some fresh leadership.” Lusk adds that this current board has very strong, dedicated members. “We have a very strong board; we have about 17 members right now.  I can say that our board is wonderful.  They are all really dedicated, talented individuals who are very passionate about our community and making sure that the chamber is working the way it should, so they stay very active.” To learn more about the Oconee County Chamber of Commerce, visit their website at www.oconeechambersc.com.
