Walhalla City Council Updates: Resignation and Administrative Appointments

Effective today, August 5, Walhalla City Councilman Josh Holliday has stepped down from his part-time position following a new job with Oconee County public schools, earning praise from Mayor Tim Hall who called him a voice of reason, integrity, and sound judgment. In addition to Holliday’s departure, city council appointed former Westminster administrator Chris Carter as interim city administrator while candidate evaluations continue, and recently named city clerk Ed Halbig as the new city planning director.
