Walhalla High School Names Blake Dyar as Head Football Coach

Walhalla High School is proud to announce Blake Dyar as the next Razorback Football head coach.

Coach Dyar has been with the Walhalla football program as offensive coordinator and strength and conditioning coach for the past two years. During his time at Walhalla, the team experienced the first home playoff win since 1994 and the first win over rival Seneca in 44 years.
Prior to joining Walhalla, Coach Dyar served as an assistant coach for Pickens High School for almost 15 years. During that time, he coached both football and baseball as well as taught social studies. Coach Dyar holds a bachelor’s degree in social studies education from Clemson University, as well as a master’s in sports administration from the United States Sports Academy. He is also a certified strength and conditioning specialist through NSCA®.
Principal Jennifer Crawford said, “I am absolutely thrilled for Coach Dyar to step into the role of the next head football coach at Walhalla High School. He brings a level of commitment, intensity, and passion that I know will continue to drive our program forward and to the next level. I am so excited for Coach Dyar, our team, our players, and the entire Razorback community!”
Allan Seigler, athletic director, said, “Coach Dyar brings 17 years of coaching experience to our program. While being intense on the field, he is also a player’s coach and our players are excited to continue to play for him. Walhalla football is in good hands!”
Speaking on the opportunity, Coach Dyar said, “I am extremely humbled and blessed to have this opportunity. Over the last two years, I have fallen in love with Walhalla High and the entire Walhalla community. The support that I have received from administration, teachers, and community members are second to none. I believe that Walhalla is special. I can promise that everyone that is a part of the Walhalla Football program will relentlessly pursue excellence every day, in everything we do while I am in this position. I could not be more excited to continue the journey we have started here.”
