Walhalla High School One Of Ten Schools That Receives Grant From SCDHEC
(Seneca, SC)——————-Walhalla High School is among ten South Carolina schools that are recipients of grants that will support efforts to educate the next generation of environmental stewards, that is according to a press release from SCDHEC.
“The Champions of the Environment” grants are issued each school year to foster environmental education and action in South Carolina classrooms, from kindergarten through 12th grade.
Each grant winner, among those who apply for the grants, will each receive $2,500.
Walhalla High won for the Green Steps class that will expand two existing gardens by increasing the number of flowering plants and establishing an irrigation system.
