Walhalla Mayor Danny Edwards Addresses State Of Oconee 2019 Luncheon

(Seneca, SC)——————–Recently, the State of Oconee 2019 Luncheon was held at Walhalla High School and one of the highlights of the meeting was the opportunity for all the Mayor’s of the five municipalities in the County to address those in attendance about what is going on in their cities. Walhalla Mayor Danny Edwards, in his address to those gathered, spoke of the power of partnerships as being a key to the growth seen in the city. 

Mayor Edwards said that power of partnerships was important in the refurbishing of the Walhalla City Pool, which the Mayor called a “tremendous success.” Also, the mayor said that partnerships are playing the role in bringing the Stumphouse Mountain Bike Trails to the area and in the future, 10 miles of bike trails could be ready to go. The mayor is hoping that the in city section could be completed soon to connect to the Bike Trail, which connects to the Palmetto Trail that would go down to the coast.
