Walhalla Police Department Arrests Walhalla Woman On Willful Neglect Of A Vulnerable Adult Charge

(Seneca, SC)—————The Walhalla Police Department arrested a Walhalla woman last week on charges of Willful Neglect of a Vulnerable Adult.

30 year old Nicole Marie Perry was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center last Thursday.

According to Walhalla Police Chief Sean Brinson, officers responded to an address on Golden Corner Drive after receiving a call from the Department of Social Services in reference to a welfare check.

When officers arrived on the scene, they discovered a vulnerable adult who was living in dangerous condition, according to Chief Brinson. The primary caregiver was required to keep the individual under 24 hour supervision, but when the case worker arrived, the primary caregiver was not there.

Based on the individual’s condition and the lack of supervision, the adult was placed in Emergency Protective Custody and transported to the hospital for care. An arrest warrant was obtained against Perry based on evidence gathered during the investigation.
