Walhalla Streets to be Re-surfaced

Eight streets in the City of Walhalla are scheduled to be re-surfaced thanks to state funds. According to Walhalla City Administrator Brent Taylor, the eight streets are part of the mill hill, a former Walhalla textile plant community. Contractor bids will be sought for the following streets: Parker, Lucas, Jaynes, Verner, East Wesley, Gerber, South Spring, and South John. At Taylor’s request, the Oconee County “C” Funds Committee authorized $285,000 for the projects as a match to the state funds.
