Walhalla Teen Charged with Hit & Run

18-year old Walhalla resident Calvin Brandon Woodard, Jr is out of the Oconee County Detention Center on bond after his arrest on Tuesday by Westminster Police. Officers alleged that Woodard left the scene of an accident involving property damage not long before 4:00 pm on Johnson Street near South Spring Street. According to reports, Woodard struck a fire hydrant, a mailbox and some trees with his vehicle. A neighbor’s tip led police to find Woodard and his heavily damaged Ford Mustang, police said. He was charged with possession of marijuana, open container, reckless driving, and hit and run.
