Walhalla Woman arrested on Drug and Weapon Charges

Following a traffic stop, a deputy of the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Walhalla woman on multiple charges, including drug and weapon offenses. Booked into the Oconee County Detention Center was 25-year-old Lindsay Rebecca Eades. A deputy on routine patrol observed a Chevrolet Tahoe speeding on Highway 130 and executed a traffic stop near Keowee Place Road. When the vehicle pulled over, the driver of the vehicle, identified as Eades, told the deputy that she had outstanding arrest warrants and that she did not have a license. Eades also told the deputy that there were narcotics in the vehicle as well as a firearm. The deputy received consent from Eades to search the vehicle, which produced a quantity of narcotics as well as the loaded firearm. Eades was transported to the Oconee County Detention Center and was charged with driving under suspension, second offense and was also served two outstanding Seneca Municipal Court Bench Warrants. The deputy also obtained arrest warrants charging Eades with possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, third or subsequent offense, possession of a controlled substance, third or subsequent offense, and unlawful carrying of a pistol.
