Walk a Mile in Her Shoes on Thursday at Jazz on the Alley

April is Sexual Assault Awareness Month and in partnership with the Foothills Alliance and the City of Seneca, the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office will host “Walk a Mile in Her Shoes” on Thursday, April 12, during Jazz on the Alley. Sgt. Tim Rice of the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office is organizing this event at 7pm on Ram Cat Alley in downtown Seneca to raise awareness about sexual assault. The mission of the Foothills Alliance is to offer child abuse prevention services to families at risk in Anderson County and to provide crisis intervention and support services to child and adult survivors of severe physical and sexual abuse and to serve as their advocates in Anderson and Oconee counties. In addition, two events are planned for the Anderson Civic Center. The first is “Dancing for Our Heroes” at 6pm on Friday, April 20. The second is “Foodie Fest 2018”, which is a food truck fest, on Sunday, April 22, from 1-6pm. Proceeds raised at all three events will benefit the Foothills Alliance.
