Water drained out of the largest depot pond

A Walhalla official says repairs are underway to the large pond on the depot grounds, after a hole was discovered last month in the drain box beneath the pond. While the repair work takes place, yellow tape surrounds the largest of the three ponds. John Galbreath, street and facilities manager, says city workers were able to save some of the Japanese koi fish. Part of the repair job will likely entail a new liner for the pond.
