Water Quality Standards met without Exception

An ecologist for the federal government recently told Duke Energy that its monitoring for dissolved oxygen concentrations in the tail waters of both the Keowee Hydro Station and the Jocassee Pumped Storage Station met water quality standards without exception. Duke Energy monitored the tail waters in August. In a letter to Duke Energy, the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission said their water quality report met the 2017 requirement and the next report will not be due until late next year.
