West Union Couple Charged with Neglect

29 year old Tyler Brooks Smith was arrested by the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office yesterday and his wife, Amy Denise Brooks, was arrested today. Each were charged with neglect in connection with the July 14th shooting incident at a West Union home wherein a 7 year old child was severely injured.

Both were given a $10,000 personal recognizance bond after they were booked into the Oconee County Detention Center. They have since been released from custody.
