West Union holding Special Election Today

Voters in the Town of Salem head to the polls today for a special election. There is only one candidate on the ballot, Jason Sharpe, to fill an open seat on the town council. Election officials say although there is only one ballot candidate, the election is required to give West Union voters, if they choose, the option of writing in another candidate of their choice.
