West Union Man Charged with Attempted Murder

Zachary Aaron Hare Poole
Zachary Aaron Hare Poole, 36, from Seneca, is still in jail on a combined $510,000 surety bond following his arrest on two counts of attempted murder and one count of possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Poole was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center Monday night after being transported from AnMed Medical Center. His arrest stems from a shooting incident last Sunday afternoon near Seneca, where he allegedly shot an adult male during an argument on Return Church Road. Another vehicle was also hit by gunfire, though the occupant was unharmed. Poole reportedly fled the scene before deputies arrived. If released on bond, he’ll need to wear an electronic monitoring device.
