Westminster Candidates Talk Annexation; Forum for Seneca Candidates in October

More from last week’s debate forum in Westminster that was hosted by the Oconee County Republican Party at the American Legion and moderated by Robert Smalls Coalition Director JR Slack. Only Jimmy Powell, Charles Morgan, and James Jones took part in person, while Susan Ramey participated through a cell phone. Of the four absent candidates, Dale Glymph was fulfilling a family obligation, according to Mayor Brian Ramey, while Andrea Harbin missed due to work obligations. The Oconee County Republican Party has a large lineup of events this fall and winter to engage the community. Another debate forum will be held for the Seneca City Council hopefuls on Tuesday, October 21st at the Gignilliat Center beginning at 6:30pm. Before that, however, a Town Hall is scheduled for October 9th featuring Oconee County Sheriff Mike Crenshaw.
