Westminster City Council to Discuss Sewer Rates, Ordinances, Budget, and Infrastructure

The Westminster City Council will hold its regularly scheduled meeting on Tuesday, May 13, featuring a presentation from Raftelis regarding a sewer rate study. Following public comments and routine reports, the council will address second readings of ordinances related to property maintenance codes and business license updates. New business items include the first readings of the proposed FY2025-2026 budget and an agreement concerning pole attachments with Northland Cable, as well as considering a bid award for wastewater improvements and a resolution supporting a walkability grant. Discussions are also planned for the Old Chauga River Bridge, the Oconee Joint Regional Sewer Authority’s regional planning study, and the findings of a technical assistance grant from the American Planning Association, with a potential executive session to conclude the meeting, which is open to the public.
