Anthony Carl Michaud, 76, of Westminster, South Carolina, was arrested and booked into the Oconee County Detention Center on September 9, 2026, facing ten counts of third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor. The arrest stems from an Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force investigation initiated in 2025 following a cyber tip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children. Following the execution of a search warrant at his Whispering Pines Drive residence, Michaud received a combined $90,000 surety bond with mandatory electronic monitoring upon release, while the Oconee County Sheriff’s Office continues its ongoing investigation.
