Westminster Man Arrested on Two Counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct with Minors

The Oconee County Sheriff’s Office arrested 20-year-old Braxton Martin Brown of Westminster on two counts of Criminal Sexual Conduct with a Minor (3rd Degree) involving two separate teenage victims. Brown was booked into the Oconee County Detention Center on Friday, May 1, 2026, and released on a $30,000 surety bond on Sunday, May 3.

The investigation began April 30 after Anderson City Police shared information about sexual activity with one victim near Westminster during the winter and early spring of 2026; evidence later revealed a second victim near West Union during the fall and winter of 2025. Arrest warrants were issued after a judge found probable cause.

The Sheriff’s Office continues the investigation and is withholding details that could identify the underage victims. Officials thanked the Anderson City Police Department for their assistance.
