Wilson gives November Weather Readings

The harvest month was more like famine when it came to rain in the Golden Corner of South Carolina. Official U.S. Weather Observer Barbara Wilson gives the November weather readings from her station in Walhalla. “For November the amount of precipitation was just over three-quarters of an inch, in fact .078 inches. Where as the previous month of October was eleven inches even, so one of the wettest months was in October at least the wettest for the year and then November was dry, but I don’t think we are in drought mode yet. November also our high for the month was on Nov. 4, at 80 degrees and then the lowest we got was 26 degrees on Nov. 20, so we had a wide range of temperatures there.” Rainfall amounts and temperature readings may differ where you live; Wilson recorded these figures from her weather station in Walhalla, which is about one-mile from the county seat.
