Woman Succumbs to Injuries Two Weeks After Anderson County Mobile Home Fire

Anderson County Coroner Greg Shore reports that his office is investigating the death of 48-year-old Starla Robinson of Anderson, SC, who succumbed to her injuries on February 27, two weeks after a mobile home fire on Hall Road near Airline Road.

On February 13 at approximately 11:45 p.m., Anderson County 911 received a call about a structure fire with entrapment, where responders found the home fully engulfed in flames with two occupants inside—one male, later identified as 49-year-old Michael Chris Robinson, deceased at the scene, and Robinson, who was treated and airlifted to the Augusta Burn Center.

The cause of her death was smoke inhalation, ruled accidental, with initial investigation by the Anderson County Fire Arson Unit indicating the blaze was most likely caused by a heater too close to unknown combustibles.

The incident remains under investigation by the Anderson County Coroner’s Office and Anderson County Fire Department, with multiple local fire departments, EMS, and the Sheriff’s Office responding to the scene.
