Woodburn Historical Home opening over Holidays

Spend your holiday vacation with your family by visiting one of Pendleton’s premier historical sites. The Woodburn Historical Home (c. 1832) will open for a 2:30pm tour on the following dates: Dec. 21-23, and Dec. 26-30. Admission is $2 for ages 5 through 12 and $6 for ages 13 and over. The tour will last approximately 1.5 hours. Woodburn is not heated and is typically 10 degrees colder than the outside temperature, so visitors are advised to dress accordingly. Also, the site has been winterized for the season, so no restroom facilities are available. Families are also invited to visit the Agriculture Museum of South Carolina. The museum will be open Dec. 21-23, and Dec. 26-27, from 10am until 2pm, Dec. 28-29, noon until 5pm, and Dec. 30, 10am until 3pm. Admission to the “AG” is free though donations would be appreciated. Woodburn, owned by the Pendleton Historical Foundation, and the Agricultural Museum, owned by Lake Hartwell Country, are located on History Lane, off Highway 76 in Pendleton, directly across from the traffic light at Tri-County Technical College.
