Zoning Change in OC headed to Court

On Aug. 29, the Oconee Common Pleas Court hears the appeal of a zoning change, which would permit a Dollar General store to build on Ebenezer Road near the four-way intersection of SC 188. Nearby homeowners displeased with the May decision of the Oconee County Board of Zoning Appeals to grant a special exception have retained an attorney. Their appeal of the special exception is to be heard during a non-jury term of the Common Pleas Court, with Judge Lawton McIntosh presiding.
