10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office Announces 25 Year Prison Sentence For Man Convicted On Multiple Drug Charges

(Seneca, SC)————-The 10th Circuit Solicitor’s Office announced yesterday that Larry Edward Adger III has been sentenced to 25 years in prison and fined $50,000 on charges of Trafficking in Methamphetamine – 3rd Offense, trafficking in crack cocaine – 3rd offense and possession of a controlled substance – 2nd offense. 

According to the press release, Adger was convicted in June of 2018 on the charges for which he was just sentenced, however, his sentence was deferred by Judge Lawton McIntosh following a request by Adger’s attorney for the opportunity to explore potential appealable issues prior to the entry of the sentence. 

The incident that led to Adger’s arrest and subsequent prison sentence occurred after a traffic stop by the Anderson County Sheriff’s Office in late September of 2017. According to the press release, Adger threw a brightly colored lunch bag out of the passenger side window of the vehicle which contained a quantity of narcotics. A search of the vehicle also produced a quantity of narcotics as well. 

The three charges against Adger will be served concurrently and Adger will be given credit for 485 days served.
